What's in the box

Brush head only, ready to fit.

  • 1 x 35cm blue nylon water fed pole brush with 6 brass jets and 8mm push fit fittings
  • Screws onto the adjustable angle adapter from our 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit. The adapter is not included.

How to use

Four steps to clean glass

Fit the brush, connect the water, scrub, then rinse and let it dry.

1

Fit the brush

Screw it onto the adapter

  • Screw the brush onto the adjustable angle adapter on the top of your pole. Hand tight is enough.
  • Set the angle so the bristles sit flat on the glass from where you'll be standing.
2

Connect the hose

Push fit, no tools

  • Push the 8mm hose from your pole firmly into the push fit on the brush until it stops, then give it a gentle tug to check it holds.
  • Open the valve at the handle and check all 6 jets are spraying.
3

Scrub

Frames first, then glass

  • Scrub the frames and sills first, then the glass, working top to bottom in sections.
  • The firm nylon bristles shift built up dirt, so keep the pressure light on the glass itself.
4

Rinse and pack up

No squeegee, no ladder

  • Lift the brush a few centimetres off the glass and let the 6 jets rinse from the top down.
  • Let it dry on its own. Pure water from your Spot Free Rinse tank has no minerals left in it to dry into spots.
Tip Close the valve at the handle as you move between windows. It saves pure water and stretches your resin.

Good to know

Swapping in a new brush

Two minutes, no tools.

↻

When to replace it

Worn bristles clean slower

  • Replace the brush when the bristles have splayed, flattened or worn short and no longer reach into the corners of the frames.
  • If a jet stops spraying, check its tube is pushed fully into the fitting before replacing anything.
✓

How to swap it

Old brush off, new brush on

  • Close the valve at the handle.
  • Press the collar on the push fit in and pull the hose out of the old brush.
  • Unscrew the old brush, screw on the new one and push the hose back in until it stops.

Good to know

Brush care

A rinse after each job keeps it working.

✓

After each job

Rinse, shake, dry

  • Rinse the brush with clean water and shake out the excess.
  • Store it dry with the bristles facing down so they keep their shape.

FAQ

Nylon pole brush questions

Quick answers before you start.

Is this the same brush as in the pole kit?

Yes. It's the 35cm blue nylon brush with 6 jets that comes with our 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit, sold on its own as a spare or for another pole.

Should I get nylon or boar's hair?

Nylon is firmer, so it's the better all rounder for frames, sills and built up dirt. Our boar's hair brush is softer and holds more water, which suits solar panels and glass you want to treat gently.

Can I use it on solar panels?

Yes. Scrub the panels, rinse with pure water and let them dry on their own. For extra gentle cleaning, use our boar's hair brush. Always follow your panel maker's cleaning advice.
