Tap water contains minerals like calcium, iron and magnesium. Those minerals are the cause of the water spots you're trying to avoid, also known as limescale or mineral deposits. Miss a spot when drying, or skip drying altogether because we're all time poor, and over time those deposits will damage glass and paintwork.
Our Spot Free Rinse tanks use deionising (DI) resin to strip those minerals out, giving you pure, spot-free water for a crystal-clear finish. No wiping, drying or polishing needed. Wash. Rinse. Pack up.
Important: this system is designed for the final rinse only, not the full wash. Using it for the entire wash will exhaust the resin significantly faster. All lifespan and capacity figures are based on final-rinse use only.
Here's how to get the most out of it:
- Washing undercover? Use your regular tap water for the main wash, then switch to Spot Free water at the end to rinse the tap water off.
- Washing in full sun? Work one panel at a time. Wash a panel, then rinse it before moving on.
To get even more life out of your resin, use the bypass valve for your main wash and only switch to the DI output for the final rinse. This keeps resin consumption to an absolute minimum.
The tanks are portable, compact, and compatible with a pressure washer, regular hose or water fed pole. You can rinse in full midday sun and still get zero mineral deposits.
Choosing the right size. Most people use up to 30 litres per car rinse. The right tank size for you depends on three things: how often you wash, your local water quality (TDS), and the tank size you choose.
Every tank includes a TDS meter so you always know where your resin is at. When purified water starts reading above roughly 10 ppm, or you notice very light spotting, it's time for a resin replacement. All tanks arrive pre-filled with premium high-flow resin, ready to use straight out of the box.
Spot Free Rinse Purification Tank
Pure Water. Zero Spots. No Drying.
See why hundreds of Aussies are ditching the chamois and letting their cars air-dry with a perfect finish.
Tap Water Leaves Spots
Tap/Tank/Bore water is full of dissolved minerals. When it dries on your car, windows, or solar panels, those minerals are left behind as lime scale/water spots.
Spot Free Rinse Purifies Your Water
Connect to your hose and rinse. As water flows through the tank's resin, every dissolved mineral is removed, leaving 100% pure water.
Spot-Free. No Drying Needed.
Just wash, rinse, & pack up, let it air-dry. Pure water leaves zero residue, for a flawless finish every single time.

Size Guide
- Spent first, same depth in every tank
- Still making pure water
Bigger tanks last more than proportionally longer. Double the resin gives roughly 2.3× the rinses.
Why a deeper bed goes further
Water flows through the resin from the top down, so the top layer is spent while the bottom is still fresh. That spent layer is about the same depth whatever size tank you buy.
In a small tank it eats most of the bed. In a big one it is a thin slice off the top, so far more of the resin gets used before you notice spots.
Spots do not mean the resin is finished. They mean it has stopped producing perfectly pure water.
Mini
Best for single-vehicle households who washe occasionally. The Mini tank provides enough pure-water capacity for periodic cleans without taking up space. Compact, portable and budget-friendly. The easiest way for first-time users to experience spot-free rinsing at home and see the difference pure water makes.

Story behind Spot Free Rinse
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this product
How long the resin lasts depends on three things: the tank size you choose, how much you use it, and your local water quality (TDS). You need to choose the right tank for your usage, so you’re not replacing resin too often or paying for more capacity than you need.
We have a calculator above and on our FAQ page to help estimate how many rinses/litres you can expect. Just enter your details for an approximate result.
Every tank includes a TDS meter, so you can check the purified water yourself rather than guess when the resin needs replacing. As a guide, when the output starts reading above 10 ppm, or you begin to notice very light spotting, it’s a sign the resin is nearing replacement time.
Resin life ultimately comes down to your usage and the tank size you chose. Larger vehicles, heavier rinsing, longer hose runs, and higher TDS water will use resin faster, and some people go through more water than they realise. If you use more water or choose a smaller tank than your workload requires, resin changes will be needed sooner.
For maximum resin life, wash as normal and use Spot Free Rinse for the final rinse only, straight after washing and before the tap water/detergent has a chance to dry.
To show you the scale, ion exchange resin ranges from cheap generic grades right through to ultra-high-purity resin used in semiconductor and nuclear water systems.
Most other systems send you the individual parts and you need to assemble and fill the tank yourself. Our systems come fully assembled, you are not part of the assembly line.
All other resins we tested were the cheap generic type. They worked for the first few washes, and they exhausted very quickly and cannot keep up with the flow required for car washing. We don't sell the cheap, generic cleaning resin. We build high quality products designed to perform in the real world, not gimmicks

Yes! This is one of the best things about a Spot Free Rinse tank.
Normally. when you wash a car in hot. sunny conditions, water dries too quickly on the surface. leaving behind mineral spots and streaks that are almost impossible to remove.
With Spot Free Rinse, because the water is completely mineral-free. it won't leave any residue as it dries - even if you're out in the sun. Just make sure you rinse the soapy water before it dries.
Yes - wash as you normally would with your preferred car wash solution.
Spot Free Rinse is designed for the final rinse Stage, replacing your normal tap water rinse so you can skip drying and avoid spots.
Each tank includes standard Australian garden hose fittings.
All that you have to do is connect your regular garden hose to the inlet and attach your spray nozzle to the outlet-
It's as simple as that.
