What's in the box

Brush head only, ready to fit.

  • 1 x 26cm boar's hair water fed pole brush with 4 brass jets and 8mm push fit fittings
  • Screws onto the adjustable angle adapter from our 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit. The adapter is not included.

How to use

Four steps to clean glass

Fit the brush, connect the water, scrub, then rinse and let it dry.

1

Fit the brush

Screw it onto the adapter

  • Screw the brush onto the adjustable angle adapter on the top of your pole. Hand tight is enough.
  • Set the angle so the bristles sit flat on the glass from where you'll be standing. The further back you stand, the more angle you'll want.
2

Connect the hose

Push fit, no tools

  • Push the 8mm hose from your pole firmly into the push fit on the brush until it stops, then give it a gentle tug to check it holds.
  • Open the valve at the handle and check all 4 jets are spraying before you start.
3

Scrub

Frames first, then glass

  • Scrub the frames and sills all the way around first, then the glass, working top to bottom.
  • Light pressure is plenty. The soft bristles hold a lot of water and do the work for you.
4

Rinse and pack up

No squeegee, no ladder

  • Lift the brush a few centimetres off the glass and let the jets rinse from the top down.
  • Let it dry on its own. Pure water from your Spot Free Rinse tank has no minerals left in it to dry into spots.
Tip Check your TDS meter before a big job so you know the water at the brush is pure.

Good to know

Boar's hair or nylon?

Pick the bristle to suit the job.

B

When to use boar's hair

Soft and gentle

  • Solar panels, painted or older timber frames, and glass you want to treat gently.
  • The natural bristles hold more water, so each pass carries more rinse water to the glass.
N

When to use nylon

Firmer scrub

  • Our blue nylon brush is stiffer, so it shifts built up dirt on frames and sills faster.
  • Plenty of window cleaners carry both and swap heads to suit the job.

Good to know

Brush care

Look after the bristles and they keep their shape.

✓

After each job

Keep the bristles straight

  • Rinse the brush with clean water and shake out the excess.
  • Dry it with the bristles hanging or facing down so they keep their shape.
  • Keep harsh chemicals off the bristles, and don't store the brush wet in a closed box.

FAQ

Boar's hair brush questions

Quick answers before you start.

Will it fit my water fed pole?

It screws onto the adjustable angle adapter that comes with our 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit, and the jets take standard 8mm push fit hose. If you use a different pole, contact us and we'll help you check the fitting.

Is boar's hair good for solar panels?

Yes. The natural bristles are soft, so it's a good choice for regular solar panel cleaning. Scrub gently, rinse with pure water and let the panels dry on their own. Always follow your panel maker's cleaning advice.

What if a jet stops spraying?

Check each blue tube is pushed fully into its push fit. To take a tube out, press the collar on the fitting in and pull the tube out, then push it back in firmly until it stops.
