Spot free rinse systems and pure water cleaning gear
What a spot free rinse system does
Tap water carries dissolved minerals. That's normal, and it's perfectly good for washing. The catch is that when it dries on glass or paint, those minerals stay behind as spots. A Spot Free Rinse tank runs your tap water through HFR (High Flow Resin), a mixed bed DI resin that takes the minerals out. What comes out the other side is pure water, and pure water dries without spots because there's nothing left in it to dry onto the surface.
The tanks connect to a standard garden hose and run on mains pressure. No power, no pump. Wash or scrub with tap water as you normally would, switch the bypass over to pure water for the final rinse, and let it dry.
The range
- Purification tanks: Lite 10L ($499), Pro 15L ($699) and Commercial 25L ($999, special order, contact us to order). Every tank comes with the bypass head fitted, a TDS meter and a 2m connector hose, and ships free Australia-wide.
- 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit ($650): the 22ft hybrid pole, an adjustable angle brush with 6 jets, an 8m hose that runs through the pole and an on/off valve at the handle, for cleaning windows and solar panels.
- Tank and pole bundles: the Lite bundle saves $100 and the Pro bundle saves $150 compared with buying the two separately.
- Resin replacement kits: from $99, matched to your tank size.
- Accessories: the Tank Head With Bypass, the Water Fed Pole Hose Adapter, the SFR Glide Pro swivel pad window washer, a telescopic car wash mop and a synthetic wool wheel brush.
Which tank to start with
Size comes down to how much you rinse and what's in your tap water. The Lite 10L is our most popular size and suits most households. The Pro 15L holds more resin, so it goes further between replacements, which suits several vehicles, regular window work or mobile detailing. The Commercial 25L is built for high output setups like detail studios and soft washing.
How many litres of pure water you get from a set of resin depends on the TDS of your local water. The calculator on the tank page works it out from your postcode or your own TDS reading.
Shop by job
- Vehicle and boat washing: cars, 4WDs, caravans, motorhomes, boats and motorbikes.
- Window and solar cleaning: water fed pole kits and tanks for glass and panels.
After you order
Tanks are assembled and tested in Brisbane and arrive filled with resin, ready to connect. Orders ship next business day (the Commercial 25L is special order), and shipping is free on all tanks and pole kits. When the TDS meter reading starts to climb, a resin replacement kit brings the tank back to pure water. You replace the resin, not the tank.
Common questions
What is a spot free rinse system?
A spot free rinse system is a water purification tank that takes the dissolved minerals out of your tap water for the final rinse. Ours use HFR (High Flow Resin), a mixed bed DI resin. You wash as normal with tap water, rinse with the pure water and let it dry. With nothing left in the water to dry onto the surface, there are no spots and no towel drying.
Which Spot Free Rinse tank size should I buy?
The Lite 10L is our most popular size and suits most households washing a couple of cars fortnightly or monthly. The Pro 15L holds more resin, which suits several vehicles, regular window cleaning or mobile detailing. The Commercial 25L is for high output work and is special order. The calculator on the tank page shows how many litres to expect from your postcode.
What comes with a Spot Free Rinse tank?
Every tank comes with the bypass head fitted, a TDS meter and a 2m connector hose. It arrives filled with resin and ready to connect. You supply your own garden hose from the tap to the tank, the same hose you'd use anyway. Shipping is free Australia-wide on all tanks and pole kits.
Does a DI water tank need power or a pump?
No. Our tanks connect to a standard garden hose and run on mains water pressure. There's nothing to plug in and no pump to prime. Anywhere you have a tap and a hose, you can rinse with pure water, whether that's the driveway, the side of the house or the shed.
Where are Spot Free Rinse tanks made?
Every Spot Free Rinse tank is assembled and tested in Brisbane before it ships. We're an Australian owned business, so setup questions and resin questions come straight back to the business that builds the tanks.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship next business day, and shipping on every tank and pole kit is free Australia-wide. Delivery time from there depends on where you are. The Commercial 25L is special order, so contact us first and we'll confirm timing with you.
What needs replacing on a DI tank?
Just the resin. The tank, head and fittings keep going. When the TDS meter shows the output reading above about 10 ppm, or you notice very light spotting, it's time for a resin replacement kit. Full kits start from $99, and after your first swap you only need the resin.
