Tank Head With Bypass

A cleaner, simpler way to switch between filter and bypass on your Spot Free Rinse tank.

The Tank Head With Bypass replaces your existing Spot Free Rinse tank head and makes it easier to switch between normal water flow and filtered water, without needing a separate external bypass setup.

It includes the bypass head, heavy-duty handle, 2 x male connectors, and bottom basket, so you can directly replace your existing tank head.

This setup was previously only pre-installed on our 25L tanks sold directly to local car detailers, and is now available to buy online.

How it works

Filter mode
Water flows through the resin for spot-free rinsing.

Bypass mode
Water skips the resin so you can save DI water for when you actually need it.

This makes it ideal for running normal water through most of the wash, then switching to filtered water for the final rinse.

Important note on lever positions

This tank head is based on a head originally designed for water softener systems, which is why the lever shows 4 functions:

• Filter
• Bypass
• Fast Rinse
• Backwash

On this unit, only Filter and Bypass are active.

The Fast Rinse and Backwash ports have been blocked off, so those functions do not operate and are not required for this application.

Some detailers still like this style of head because it is one of the few available options with an integrated bypass. You may also see similar heads on other spot-free systems, and they typically have these extra functions blocked off as well.

For our standard tank setups, we fit standard tank heads and include a free external bypass valve with tank purchases.
