Rinse first

- Give the wheel a good rinse to wash away loose brake dust and grit before the brush touches anything.
Soap up and scrub
Any soap is safe
- Soak the brush in soapy water or your usual wheel cleaner — the synthetic wool is safe with any soap or detergent.
- Work the face of the wheel first, then push the brush deep into the barrel and between the spokes. The flexible head bends to follow the shape.
- It's also handy for grills, fenders, door frames, exhaust tips and engine bays.

Will it scratch alloy or chrome wheels?
No — the brush has no exposed metal and the synthetic wool is ultra-soft and non-abrasive, so it's safe on gloss, chrome, alloy, painted and polished finishes. The one habit that matters: rinse the brush out regularly so brake dust doesn't build up in the wool.
Which size should I get?
The Large (46cm) suits deep wheel barrels, 4WD and SUV wheels and engine bays; the Small (35cm) is better for tight spokes, smaller wheels and fiddly spots like door frames and exhaust tips. Many detailers keep both.
