Solar panel cleaning system with pure water
Modular Solar Panel Cleaning Systems for Every Need
Plenty of solar arrays across the country underperform simply because dust, salt, and grime sit between the cells and the sun. Spot Free Rinse provides the specialised tools needed to clear away that buildup, ensuring your hardware actually generates the power it was designed for.
Using a dedicated solar panel cleaning system is the safest way to strip back salt, dust, and grit without risking the glass or your own safety on the roof. We focus on supplying professional solar panel cleaning equipment that simplifies maintenance, allowing you to keep your energy yields high and your electricity bills low with minimal effort.
Professional Solar Panel Cleaning Equipment for Every Application
Getting those panels clear requires a mix of steady water flow and just enough physical agitation to lift the grit. The foundation of any solid maintenance routine is high-quality solar panel cleaning equipment built to handle the elements while staying gentle on the glass surface. We have organised our gear based on how much ground you need to cover and how pristine you need the finish to be.
For a standard home roof, our 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit is usually the perfect fit, and bigger arrays simply suit a larger tank. By adding our Spot Free Rinse DI technology to the mix, you can finally wash away the dirt without leaving behind the white mineral crust usually found in tap water.
Our Range
We keep it simple. A DI tank in three sizes gives you pure water for a spot free solar panel rinse that dries clear on its own. The 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit gives you the reach, and the tank and pole bundle gets you both together. Need more reach? Ask us about the 30ft pole.
How a Solar Panel Cleaning Kit Works
A high-performance solar panel cleaning kit works by feeding water at mains pressure straight through the bristles while you move the brush. This constant stream of water acts as a lubricant, flushing away the abrasive grit the second it comes loose, so you don't accidentally swirl it into the glass.
When you opt for water fed solar panel cleaning, you aren't just splashing water; you are using a tool designed for the task. The real secret to a perfect finish is connecting your solar panel cleaning kit to one of our DI tanks, which ensures the final rinse is chemically pure water that leaves no residue at all.
Why Use a Water Fed Pole for Solar Panel Cleaning
Deciding on a water fed pole solar panel cleaning setup is mostly about safety and long-term panel health. Old-school methods involving sponges or chemicals often leave a sticky film that attracts more dust, making the panels get dirtier even faster. Relying on water fed solar panel cleaning keeps the process simple and chemical-free.
- Off the Roof: Clean from the ground on a single storey with room around it, or from an extension ladder at the roof line, never standing on the panels
- Total Reach: Telescopic poles let you slide the brush across large arrays with very little physical strain
- Zero Residue: Pure water lifts dirt more effectively than tap water, so you don't need soaps that might damage the panel seals
- Speed: The water fed pole solar panel cleaning method is significantly faster than manual scrubbing, so the job gets done in a fraction of the time
Choosing the Right Solar Panel Cleaning Equipment
The right solar panel cleaning system for your setup depends on how much dust you get and how hard your local water is. If your tap water is full of minerals, you definitely need a setup that includes deionisation to avoid leaving limescale behind.
Our range is built to be modular, so you can start with a basic solar panel cleaning pole and add more advanced filtration later as your needs grow. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a full-time cleaner, the right solar panel cleaning equipment ensures you get a streak-free result that lets every bit of light through.

Common questions
Can I clean solar panels with a water fed pole?
Yes. A water fed pole lets you scrub panels with a brush and rinse them in the same pass, without standing on the roof. On a single storey home with room around it you can often do them from the ground. Otherwise set an extension ladder up at the roof line and work from the ladder. Run the water from a DI tank so the final rinse is pure water, and the panels dry clear with no spots left on the glass. The 22ft Hybrid Water Fed Pole Kit includes the 22ft hybrid pole, an adjustable angle brush with 6 jets, an 8m hose that runs through the pole and an on/off valve at the handle.
Why use deionised water to clean solar panels?
Because the last water on the panel decides how it dries. Tap water is fine for scrubbing, but its minerals stay on the glass as spots once it evaporates. Deionised water has those minerals taken out, so there's nothing left in it to dry onto the panel. You rinse and leave it, with no wiping on the roof.
How far does the 22ft pole reach for solar panels?
The 22ft hybrid pole extends to about 6.7 m, and your own height adds to that. On a single storey home with room around it you can often clean the panels from the ground. On most other homes you set an extension ladder up at the roof line and clean from the ladder, never standing on the roof or the panels. How much of the array you can cover depends on where you can stand and the pitch of the roof. For taller work, a 30ft pole is available, contact us to order.
What do I need to start cleaning solar panels with pure water?
A DI tank, a water fed pole kit, your own garden hose or hose reel, and a way to join the hose to the pole. The pole kit comes with our Water Fed Pole Hose Adapter fitted at the handle, an on/off and flow control valve with a garden hose end, so it connects straight to the hose from your tank. The tank and pole bundle puts the first two together and saves $100 with the Lite or $150 with the Pro. Every tank includes a TDS meter so you can check the water.
Do I need to dry solar panels after cleaning?
Not when the final rinse is pure water. Scrub with the brush, rinse each panel well so no dirty water is left sitting on it, then leave it. With no minerals in the rinse water, the glass dries clear on its own. On a cool day you can save resin by scrubbing with tap water through the bypass, then switching to pure water and running the hose clear before you rinse. In the sun, use pure water the whole way.
Which tank size suits solar panel cleaning?
For your own home, the Lite 10L is usually plenty. If you clean panels for other people, the Pro 15L holds more resin and goes further between replacements. The Commercial 25L is built for high output setups, including drone cleaning, and is special order. The calculator on the tank page shows how many litres to expect from your postcode.
